Students (Residential and Non-Residential)
Applications are now open for our Summer Master Classes 2019 which will be held at The Steps in Rye, arriving in time for afternoon tea on Sunday 4th August and concluding with a formal concert on Saturday 10th August 2019. Departure will be after breakfast on Sunday 11th August. The cost of this week's Master Classes is £400 (£374 for EPTA members) and covers your accommodation for seven nights, full board and all tuition. We have capacity for a maximum of five students to stay with us at The Steps for our Master Classes. If, however, you live locally and would like to attend the Master Classes as a non-residential student, the price will be £200 (£183 for EPTA members) for the week which will include lunch. If you would like to stay for dinner, this will be charged separately and can be organised once you're here.
We are also delighted to announce that, courtesy of Professor Alberto Portugheis, there will be an opportunity for up to three students from our Master Classes to play at two prestigious London venues on Monday 12th August (St James's Picadilly) and Tuesday 13th August (St Martin-in-the-Fields). If you are selected to play at these two lunchtime concerts, a bursary of £50 each will be awarded and accommodation at The Steps will be provided for the extra nights for any international students.
Applications for this event close on 1st April 2019 but earlier if all places are filled. There are a number of items required for this application form so we recommend you gather them all together before starting to fill out the form as you will be unable to save it and continue later.
If your application is successful we will send you an email confirming your place within two weeks along with our Terms & Conditions which you will need to sign and return to us. A 50% non-refundable payment will then be required within 7 days (BACS payment details will be provided). On receipt of your deposit, our confirmation email will include a list of things to bring with you, anything you need to supply before your arrival and a code of conduct. The final balance will be due on 1st July 2019. Students will not be able to attend if the full amount has not been paid.
Please complete the form below and we will be in touch with you soon.
